The Doug Ellis Sports Centre has a variety of workout classes to help you achieve your health and fitness goals.
Classes may include Body Combat, Body Pump, Spinning, Yoga and many more so there will be something to suit you!
Aerobics
A cardiovascular and toning workout session suitable for all levels. Includes a combination of moves for you to perform at your own pace through alternative high or low impact moves. A great way to burn calories and increase fitness levels.
Body Combat
Combines moves and stances from a range of self defense disciplines (karate, boxing and tae kwon-do), into an energetic routine.
Body Pump
Weight training class set to music, using barbells and weights. It will tone and strengthen your entire body and increase your fat burning potential.
Circuits
All round programme including weights and cardiovascular workouts. Excellent for stamina building, fat burning and toning, circuits takes fitness to a higher level. An energetic and varied class.
Core Stability
A stability ball and floor based class working your core muscles. Working the core “powerhouse” is crucial to avoiding injury and sculpting strong, toned abdominals and back.
Step
The class involves doing choreographed exercise to music on a step platform. A great class for toning your legs and bum as well as blasting calories.
Studio Cycle
A group cycling class to music using varied speed, resistance and style. You will blast tons of calories in a short time but at your own speed.
Legs, Bums and Tums
The class involves doing choreographed exercise based on the thigh and stomach area. It will tone and shape your body.
